With many years of this practise our roofs last longer then most other roof systems with poor vetalation. We have found installing Solar Powered Roof Vents will cool and pull the necessary humidity out of the roof. The best part is, it runs for FREE, powered by the sun. It only comes on when it is needed, when the sun rises and sets. It also helps keep the home cooler, so it also saves you monthly with your local power company. We installed a Polyglass TU-Plus Tile Underlayment directly to the sheathing. Applying this directly to the plywood sheathing, greatly improves the up-lift calculations to the roof system. This will save our client at least 50 percent of their insurance premium. We also used a Polyset Foam Adhesive to adhere the roof tile to the Tu-Plus System.
