Previous Roof Tile Project in
Wellington, Florida!


This is a 32 year old tile roof that had been recoated and recoated too many times to count. The owner was sold like many other home owners to apply elastomeric coating to add years of life to their home. This in turn destroy over half of the roof framing and structure. When our demo crew was doing the tear-off of this roof, there was a lot of badly weathered structural lumber that had to be rebuilt at once. It was only a matter of time before this roof structure would have collapsed.

When a coating system is applied over concrete tile it locks in the humidity in the attic. Which this doesn't allow the roof system to vent properly. We have found installing Solar Powered Roof Vents will cool and pull the necessary humidity out of the roof. The best part is, it runs for FREE, powered by the sun. It only comes on when it is needed, when the sun rises and sets. It also helps keep the home cooler, so it also saves you monthly with your local power company.

Our well trained crew took care of this roof structure with ease and was commended by the building department on how well the repair went. The roof was ten times stronger than original roof structure. We continued to install a Check out our tile test videos using Polyglass TU-Plus Tile Underlayment. Applying this directly to the plywood sheathing improving the up-lift calculations to the roof system. This will save our client at least 50 percent of their insurance premium. We also used a Polyset Foam Adhesive to adhere the roof tile to the Tu-Plus System. With these two systems used together they give the greatest possible protection to high wind uplift.
